The UK management team is running the activities of our organization in the UK with passion and commitment: Lee Smith (Managing Director), Lee Price (Commercial Director) and Claire Gathercole (Finance Director).
I believe that our success is a consequence of exceeding our customer’s expectations; an unrelenting focus on ensuring that our customers experience the highest levels of quality, cost and delivery across our service lines from start to finish.
Lee Smith, UK Managing Director
After acquiring a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, Lee held several managerial positions at the international service provider, Johnson Controls. He then joined automotive supplier, Faurecia, where he was Division Director from 2008.
Lee joined Leadec in 2017 as COO for the UK region, bringing over 20 years’ experience from the automotive sector. He became Managing Director in October 2019.
Sustainable growth and business development is only possible through established and deep routed relationships, something Leadec has developed with its customers across the globe for over 50 years and continues to be a key focus for the UK business.
Lee Price, UK Commercial Director
Starting his career as a time served electrical engineering apprentice following which he attended Staffordshire University for education in construction and facilities management. Having graduated, spent a total of 12 years at GSH Group over two periods spanning operations, key account management and finally business development and commercial sales. Lee has a wider knowledge of the FM and services sector having delivered senior development positions in Carillion Group up to 2009.
Having held board positions since 2009 Lee joined the UK management team in 2019 to provide leadership to the business development function in the next phase of Leadec’s growth in the UK.
Claire Gathercole, UK Finance Director
After studying Psychology at the University of Warwick, Claire spent 5 years at sk:n holding a range of finance roles while qualifying with CIMA. From 2011 until 2013, she moved to Stadco as Financial Controller for their Engineering & Product Development division. She then joined Aston Martin as a Finance Manager in Product Development, responsible for the projects to create the new DB11 (and derivatives) in 2013.
In January 2016, Claire joined Leadec as the Financial Controller before assuming the role of Finance Director in April 2019.
